We’re Ale & Kevin — partners in life, training, and now a mission bigger than ourselves.

We’re not just a coach and an athlete. We’re two people who took very different roads into this world and somehow ended up walking the same path — one driven by purpose, movement, and community.

Kevin has worked in the corporate world for over 20 years — and still does today. But now, he’s balancing that life with one of his greatest personal challenges yet: preparing for his first Adaptive CrossFit Games.

Ale, originally on the same corporate path after moving to New York from Costa Rica, felt the pull toward something more. From chasing personal health to coaching at Westchester Fit, she became a CF-L2 coach, a CrossFit Kids coach, an Adaptive & Inclusive Trainer, and a nutrition coach — all grounded in one goal: helping others thrive.

But it didn’t happen all at once.
At first, Kevin dove into CrossFit while Ale wasn’t so sure. Then the roles reversed — Ale went all in, while Kevin tapped out. Eventually, everything shifted. We found our rhythm, our reason, and our mission — together.

A conversation with an incredible adaptive athlete, Amalia O., opened our eyes to the power and possibility of Adaptive CrossFit. She helped us see that there’s more out there for every body — if we’re willing to build it. Now it’s our turn to give that back.

We created Mind Over Body for every person who thinks they can’t — because of fear, injury, disability, or difference.
